We’re delighted to announce that we are working with the Janki Saye Foundation, who are now fundraising purely for us at The Sequal Trust
The Janki Saye Foundation is a charity which transforms the lives of people with disabilities and special needs through the use of assistive technology. They provide grants to fund assistive technology, such as communication devices and reading devices, to help people with a wide range of disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives.
The foundation was founded in 2003 Sheila and Mala Saye in memory of their mother Janki, who was passionate about helping others. The founders, Sheila and Mala Saye, are sisters who were inspired by their mother’s compassion and dedication to helping others, always putting the needs of others before her own.
After her passing, Sheila and Mala decided to honour her memory by establishing a foundation that would continue her legacy of helping those in need. The Janki Saye Foundation is a valuable resource for people with disabilities in the UK, helping to improve the lives of people with disabilities by providing them with the tools they need to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
The choice to centre on technological solutions serves as a homage to their late father, Sesh Saye, who passed away in March 1993. He was a pioneer in the field of computing, working for companies such as ICL (now Fujitsu), IBM and Sperry Univac (now Unisys.)
We thank the Janki Saye Foundation for collaborating with us and look forward to working with them. To find out more about the foundation, visit their website.
